Growing Perennials for Cut Flowers

Growing Perennials for Cut Flowers

Although many of the varieties we grow as flower farmers are annuals, we’ve found ourselves adding more and more perennials to our farm. Although different from growing annuals, they are very rewarding in different ways and can help make you a successful flower farmer.

In this book we’ll discuss how perennials have changed the way we farm, how we actually increased sales while actually working less, and how perennials should be part of your long term strategy as a grower and can help make your career sustainable. We also discuss our favorite perennial herbaceous perennials, grasses, and woody shrubs including harvesting, designing tips and favorite varieties to grow of each species.
